Every day we collect new posts from r/PPC, r/googleads and r/adwords on Reddit (including keyword search over a curated base of problem phrases), threads from the official Google Ads Community, plus LinkedIn posts found through web search (weighted at 0.5 because it's a noisier signal). We also track Google's official "What's new in Google Ads" release notes and the Google Search/Ads status dashboard.
An LLM classifies each post as complaint / not-a-complaint plus a theme. We compute the trailing 7-day complaint ratio and compare it against a rolling 90-day baseline of weekly ratios: above baseline + 1.5σ → Spike, below baseline → Calm, in between → Typical. If a spike overlaps a confirmed Google incident, we say so.
An anonymous quick vote on four fixed questions (moderation speed, account bans, campaign launches, limits & delivery). One vote per question per day, identified only by a daily-rotating salted hash — we never store IP addresses. Comments are optional, capped at 280 characters and stripped of HTML. When the vote strongly disagrees with our content-based verdict, we show a divergence note.
LinkedIn items come from search-result snippets, not full posts, so the classification signal is weaker. They count at 50% weight in the complaint ratio and are shown separately in the stats.
